TGS

We are The Graduate Singers

The Graduate Singers (TGS) is an independent award-winning chamber choir established in 2010.

TGS has represented Singapore internationally, bringing home a gold and a silver medal in separate categories at the 2018 World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa. In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam International Choir Competition.

Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at various major concert venues, such as the Esplanade, the Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall, and the YST Conservatory Concert Hall. For its fifth anniversary, the choir launched its debut EP, now available on Spotify and iTunes.

Besides just competitions, the choir’s international footprints include being the first Singaporean choir to be part of the 2013 Distinguished Concerts International New York’s Concert Series, Messiah…Refreshed!, as well as staging TGS x JAPAN — a two-part concert series in Singapore and Tokyo, Japan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the two country’s diplomatic relations (SJ50) in 2016.

While TGS continues to showcase their brand of choral excellence, there is an underlying cause to further a Singaporean choral expression through performances alongside many esteemed and upcoming local musicians, and has also been commissioning new works by local composers.

TGS celebrated their tenth anniversary in 2022 with TGS10, a concert featuring new works, commissions as well as member’s favourites from past years. TGS is also a collaborator for the SingSpire concert series beginning 2023.
